We believe good design puts people and place first. Clients are collaborators and the starting place of any good design.

Dacha (pronounced DAH-chuh) is a design practice centered on the idea of home as a place of meaning.
A dacha is a retreat; a place to slow down, gather, create, and reconnect. Over time, the word came to represent something larger: a vision of the life you want to build, and the space that holds it.

At Dacha Office, we carry that idea forward.

We believe homes should feel intentional and expressive, shaped not just by architecture, but by the people who live within it. Our work is guided by clarity, restraint, and a deep respect for atmosphere; the quiet qualities that make a space feel like it belongs to you.

We design across the full spectrum of residential work: renovations, additions, interiors, and ground-up homes. Regardless of scale, our approach remains the same: attentive, collaborative, and grounded in thoughtful planning and material craft. We look for the story inside each project; the way light moves through a room, the rituals that define your days, the opportunities hidden within constraints.

Why work with us:
Because we offer the focus of a small studio with the rigor of professional architectural practice. We listen closely, design intentionally, and guide you through the process with clarity and care. Our goal is to create spaces that feel honest, warm, and deeply personal; places that grow with you, support you, and reflect the life you want to live.

Dacha Office is not driven by size or spectacle. We’re driven by the quiet ambition to make homes that feel right.

Meet the Team

  • Kyle Keirsey

    Partner

Kyle Keirsey came to Seattle by way of the South. Born in El Paso, Texas, he was raised in a family of architects, where design was both a profession and a way of thinking. In his early teens, Kyle moved to Georgia and then Alabama, gradually carving out his own path in architecture.

While studying at Auburn University, he joined the Rural Studio; a hands-on program focused on serving under-resourced communities in West Alabama. There, Kyle helped design and construct real buildings for real people, an experience that grounded his belief in architecture as a tool for care, equity, and connection.

He earned dual degrees in Architecture and Interior Architecture before moving to Seattle. Before founding Dacha Office, Kyle worked at ZGF, Best Practice Architecture, and SHED Architecture & Design where he worked on projects spanning corporate headquarters, custom homes, restaurants, and retail environments. He also serves as Chief Marketing Director on the board of Space.City, where he helps bring global design voices to the Seattle community.

Outside of work, Kyle spends his time working on his home, designing objects, cooking, writing, reading, and being with his husband Anton and their dog, Mishka.

  • Mishka

    Morale Officer

Mishka is our resident morale officer, known for his unwavering enthusiasm for new people, places, and projects. His greatest passion is “ball,” followed closely by supervising site walks and inspecting for treats. He brings joy, curiosity, and a touch of chaos to the team; exactly the kind of energy every good design office needs.
